as the weather begins to warm up.. i've finally gotten around to rotating the sweaters into the back of the closet, and am in some serious need for a summer wardrobe refresh.

the met costume gala

not sure that i'd ever want to be a celebrity, but I sure am jealous of all of the beautiful clothes that they get to wear.

the met gala is always one of the best and this year didn't disappoint.. check out some of the standouts..

derby day!

while i am admittedly not a avid fan of horse racing, there has always been something intriguing to me about the kentucky derby.

maybe its the wild hats, or the mint juleps- but on a rainy saturday it's provided me some inspiration for indoor fun.

i found some great recipes for mint juleps, a  kentucky derby creamy cheddar grits souffle and run-for-the-roses-pie .. perfect for vegging with john, kingsley and our basset hound guest "head coach marvin lewis".

sitting back on the deck enjoying a beautiful late-spring friday evening with two puppies, the hubby, coronas and a nice breeze. ahhh...

soon heading out to end the day then with a huge bonfire, coconut smores, and friends- both human and furry.

Clintonville Farmer's Market is Back!

After a local produce-less winter I am so excited to head back to the Clintonville Farmer's Market this Saturday morning!

Fresh flowers, herbs and produce.... oh my.

It will be the pup's first... so hopefully the rain will hold off so that we can walk.

can't wait!

family time

i had the greatest time last weekend helping to babysit four of the most adorable kids on earth. we rode bikes, played princesses, hopscotch.. enough to tire their old aunt out. luckily thanks to steve and falon's wedding we'll all get to see each other a lot this summer.

kingsley has had a great week of meeting all kinds of other doodle puppies-

its so fun to get an idea of how he's going to grow up... and to reminisce on the little guy that he used to be!

dog days of spring

and i thought my baby pup was cute in the snow!

spent some time soaking in the gorgeous 75-ish degree weather at goodale park last night and i think that i can easily say that spring is one of the prettiest times of year. the dogwoods and daffodils are blooming, everyone is in such great moods.

he had a great time playing with all of the other dogs, and i just enjoyed taking in all in- ..and the documenting.

while i definately enjoy *all* of the above, it's also the day that we celebrate the birth of my little brother steven patrick.

he's much bigger now, but wasn't he a cute little baby...
